![]() Unit will boot right back up if power pressed or lid opened. Long story short, computer will charge but only when it is off, when it is on it actually loses battery even when plugged in and then shuts itself down after about 10 minutes, plugged in or not. Tried different chargers, different plug ins, reseat battery connector inside laptop, cleaned out charging connector port with black smudge. ![]() Left charger on this time, amber light on MagSafe, computer is on for about 10 minutes with charger plugged in then shuts itself down. Put charger back on, rebooted, computer boots fine, but battery indicator then said it was at 97% and still not showing lightning on indicator. With further testing, pulled charger off unit and almost immediately computer shut itself down. Came back in this morning, computer boots, shows 100% battery. Shut down the laptop, left to charge overnight last night. Plugged in the unit right after to test, got an amber light on the MagSafe, battery seemed to be charging according to numbers on the battery indicator, but battery indicator does not have a lightning bolt. Realized after we got into it that the repair was a little more involved than we thought, but we got it replaced. We got a MacBook Pro Retina in our shop to work on yesterday- owner was having battery issues and wanted us to replace it for them.
